Biography

Frank Stallone, born Francesco Stallone Jr. on July 30, 1950, in Maryland, United States, is an American actor and singer. He grew up in Philadelphia with his older brother Sylvester Stallone. Frank Stallone's music career began in the early 1980s when he wrote and performed "Far from Over" for the film Staying Alive, directed by his brother Sylvester. The song reached number 10 on the Billboard Hot 100 and was nominated for a Golden Globe Award for Best Original Song. The accompanying album, which included contributions from various artists, received a Grammy nomination for Best Album of Original Score Written for a Motion Picture or a Television Special. Frank Stallone released several albums throughout his career, including his self-titled debut album (1984), Day in Day Out (1991) with The Billy May Orchestra, Soft and Low (1999), Songs from the Saddle (2005), and Heart and Souls (2007). He also appeared in various films and television shows, often collaborating with his brother Sylvester. In 2005, Frank Stallone served as a boxing consultant for the NBC reality series The Contender. His music has been featured in several documentaries and TV shows, including a documentary about his life titled STALLONE: Frank, That Is, released in 2021.
