Biography

Roland Van Campenhout is a Belgian musician born in 1945 in Boom, Belgium. He taught himself guitar and formed the skiffle group William & Roland Skiffle Group. In 1967, he released the single “Je Kan Nooit Weten” with the folk duo Miek & Roel. Van Campenhout's breakthrough came in 1969 at the Festival Jazz-Bilsen. Throughout the 1970s, he toured extensively with Rory Gallagher’s band and his own. He collaborated with Arno Hintjens on the album Charles et les Lulus (1991), which expanded his audience beyond the blues scene. Van Campenhout's album Never Enough (2008) reached number two in the Flemish charts, marking his most successful release.
