Biography
Fox was a British pop/soft rock band formed in 1974, founded and led by American songwriter, producer, and guitarist Kenny Young. The group's lineup included Australian singer Susan Traynor, who performed under the stage name Noosha Fox, along with Pete Solley (keyboards, vocals), Jim Gannon (guitar, vocals), Gary Taylor (bass, vocals), Herbie Armstrong (vocals, guitar), and Jim Frank (drums, percussion, vocals). The band's breakthrough came in February 1975 with the release of their debut single "Only You Can," which reached number 3 on the UK Singles Chart. Their self-titled debut album Fox followed in the spring of 1975 and entered the Top 10 of the UK Albums Chart. The band released two more albums, Tails of Illusion (1975) and Blue Hotel (1977), featuring notable songs such as "S-S-S-Single Bed." Noosha Fox left the group after Blue Hotel to pursue a solo career. The band reunited briefly in 1980 to record the song "Electro People," which was used in British television before officially disbanding in 1981.
