Haydeé Elva Quispe SolÃs, known professionally as Flor Pileña, was born on January 27, 1961, in San Pedro de Pilas, Yauyos, Peru. She is a Peruvian singer who began her musical journey at the age of 13 when she moved to Lima and started performing in school events. In 1981, Quispe launched her career under the stage name Flor Pileña, releasing her debut single "El primer beso". Her early albums include ¿Dónde Estás, Amor? Vol. 2 (1982) and Busco un Amigo (1983). In 1985, she released three albums: Linda Pileña, Por Tu Culpa, Cervecita, and Corazoncito ¿Por Qué Lloras?, which featured the hit song "Cervecita" by Abraham Bendezú. Throughout her career, Flor Pileña has collaborated with notable artists such as Dina Páucar and Sonia Morales, and in 2012, she worked with Anita Santivañez on the album El Encuentro de Dos Reinas. Her discography includes scores of albums, including Si Tu Te Vas (2022) and MÃrame corazón (2023). Flor Pileña has received several awards, including the Esmeralda Musical from the Premios Apdayc for her song "Amigo, ya no tomes más" and the title of "Hija Predilecta de San Pedro de Pilas" in 2011. She was also recognized by the ACOSPY in 2013 and received a recognition from the Congreso de la República del Perú in 2018 for her contributions to Andean music.
