Biography
The Flipper 's Guitar (ããªããããã¼ãºã®ã¿ã¼, Flipper's Guitar ) is a Japanese pop band. The band was originally formed by Keigo Oyamada (born January 27, 1969, Tokyo) and Yukiko Inoue (keyboards) as the Pee Wee 60's. After a few shows as a two-piece, Hidesaku Yoshida (bass) and Yasunobu Arakawa (drums) joined the band. Finally, Kenji Ozawa (born April 14, 1968 in Kanagawa, Japan) joined the band, making a five-piece lineup. They later changed their name to Flipper's Guitar in 1989, and disbanded in October 1991. Their music was strongly influenced by British and American indie pop and guitar pop, and they gained attention for their sound, which utilized sampling and collage-like techniques, and their humorous and intelligent lyrics. His representative song "Young, Alive, in Love Koi to Machine Gun" was included in the single "Koi to Machine Gun" released in 1990, and was used as the theme song for the drama "Prep School Boogie". 3 original albums were left, and after the breakup, he has been performing as Cornelius (Oyamada) and solo respectively After the breakup of the band, he has been developing his own musical activities as Cornelius (Oyamada) and solo artist Kenji Ozawa, respectively.
