Biography

Quebec folk duo, formed in 1977 by Richard Séguin and Serge Fiori, after the dissolution of their respective groups (Les Séguin and Harmonium). Fiori-Séguin recorded their only career album, Deux Cents Nuits À l'Heure, in the winter of 1977, in Sainte-Adèle, Quebec. To make this album, each member of the duo proposes two songs written within their previous groups, and they add three songs they write and sing as a duo. A number of Harmonium members are featured as musicians on the album, including Denis Farmer, Libert Subirana, Monique Fauteux, Neil Chotem and Robert Stanley. The album sells over 200,000 copies and is certified double platinum. The song " Viens danser " tops the Quebec radio charts. At the first ADISQ gala in 1979, the group wins three Félix awards, for Record of the Year, Group of the Year and LP of the Year. In May 2018, 40 years after the album's release, Sony released a special edition of the opus. That same year, ADISQ pays tribute to the duo at their annual gala. In 2019, the songs " Ça fait du bien " and " Viens danser " are reworked for the soundtrack of Cirque Éloize's show Seul Ensemble .
