Favorite was born in Essen on August 23, 1986. His real name is Christoph Alexej Schwind. He is a German rapper and is considered a defining figure of battle and street rap in the Ruhr area in the 2000s. In 2003, Christoph Alexej Schwind began making his first rap recordings and appearances in the Essen hip-hop scene. Battlerap performances and mixtapes brought him national attention. His career is closely linked to the Selfmade Records label, with which he is signed from 2006. The debut album Christoph Alex is released in 2007 and reaches number 16 in the German album charts. The follow-up Anarcho followed in 2008 and reached number 10. In 2010, Favorite released the album Harlekin, which reached number 4 in the German charts and is considered to be his biggest commercial success. The single "Alle ScheiÃe" generates a broad response. 2015 sees the release of Neues von Gott, which enters the German album charts at number 2. This is followed by a longer creative break. This ends in December 2025, when Favorite returns with the studio album Queenkiller.
