Biography

The Fast Food Rockers, a British pop group from England, formed in 2003 when members met at a fast-food convention in Folkestone. The band quickly gained attention with their novelty music, which blended catchy melodies with humorous lyrics centered around fast food themes. Their breakthrough came with the release of "Fast Food Song" in 2003, which parodied the traditional folk melody "A Ram Sam Sam." This single reached Number 2 on the UK Singles Chart and sold 150,000 copies, becoming a year-end Top 40 hit. The song's success was partly due to its adaptation by Mike Stock, Steve Crosby, and Sandy Rass, who were known for their work with the Stock Aitken Waterman production team. Their second single, "Say Cheese (Smile Please)", peaked at Number 10, further cementing their place in the UK music scene. The group's debut album, It's Never Easy Being Cheesy, was released in November 2003 under Better the Devil Records. However, their subsequent Christmas single only reached Number 25, and an album that failed to make the charts, leading to their disbandment in March 2004. In April 2024, they announced a reunion on Instagram, culminating in their first public performance in 21 years at the Lincoln Pride 2024 festival.
