Ryohei Kurosawa, known as EXILE AKIRA, was born 23 August 1981 in Yokohama, Kanagawa Prefecture, and spent his adolescence in Iwata, Shizuoka. He switched from a football scholarship to dance at sixteen and joined RATHER UNIQUE in 2003 after being noticed by EXILE members USA and MAKIDAI during a club event. In 2006 he co‑founded the krump team RAG POUND, acted in the stage Attack No.1, and joined EXILE as a dancer, later becoming a member of the spin‑off unit EXILE THE SECOND in September 2016.Throughout his tenure he has appeared in television dramas such as GTO, films including the HiGH&LOW series, and contributed to the The Fool movie project, writing the track "The Fool" (2019). His discography includes the singles "The Fool" (18 December 2019) and "Urban Savage" (6 June 2026), and he co‑produced "Party All Night – Star of Wish" (2018). EXILE AKIRA remains an active performer and executive within the LDH organization, serving as a director and later as CEO of LDH Aiyu Kyo. The first release under his own name, URBAN SAVAGE, was released on June 6 and includes the track "NEW WORLD," featuring MIYAVI.
