Biography

Evridiki Theokleous (born February 25, 1968), known mononymously as Evridiki, is a Greek Cypriot pop and rock singer from Limassol. Theokleous studied music at the National Conservatory of Cyprus and later attended the Berklee College of Music. She began her career as a backing vocalist in the Eurovision Song Contest in 1983, 1986, and 1987. Theokleous released her debut solo album Gia Proti Fora in 1991. In 1992, she represented Cyprus in the Eurovision Song Contest with the recording "Teriazoume", finishing in eleventh place. She returned to the competition in 1994 with the recording "Eimai Anthropos ki Ego". Theokleous collaborated with composer George Theofanous on nine albums, including the golden-certified Dese Mou ta Matia (1998). In 2002, she transitioned to alternative rock and performed in the musical The King and I. Theokleous represented Cyprus for a third time in 2007 with the recording "Comme ci, comme ça" and released the album 13 that same year. She released the album Etsi Einai I Agapi in 2009 and 25 Gia Panta in 2017.
