Biography
Better known by her stage name Etta, Finnish rapper Emmalotta Amanda Kanth was born in Vantaa on August 23, 1997. Born into a family of musicians, she took part in a talent contest in 2007, reaching the semi-finals at the age of ten. After signing with Warner Music Finland affiliate PME Records, she released her first single "Ballerina" in 2018 and enjoyed her first success in 2021 with "Prinsessa" (No. 6), taken from the album Tyttö, which reached the same position in the album charts. After EP 10 in 2019, her duet with Pihlaja on "Bändäri" reached No. 2 in 2022. The same year, her second album Tykkäät Kummiski, driven by the track "Perus" with Gettomasa (no. 11), reached no. 1 on the Finnish charts. In 2024, Etta launched a new series of singles, including No. 2 "Demoneista ystävii", No. 4 "Viikonloppufaijoi" and the duets "Showtime" with Turisti and "Viimeinen pisara " with Jenni Vartiainen, which reached No. 25 and No. 8 respectively. A new single from the Tähtisumua album, "Yötön yö", reaches no. 11.
