Biography
Jeff Anton Thompson is an American rapper known as Ekoh. Hailing from Las Vegas, the punk counterculture-inspired rapper has inscribed his conscious style on the local hip-hop scene over the years and albums. From the alternative rock of his teenage years, he switched to rap and freed himself from his drug addiction by writing the lyrics that gave birth to his tracks. Close to the Wu-Tang Clan, Ekoh gravitated around several other groups before launching himself in 2013 with the album Zzyzx Road, followed by Along the Way (2016). In 2018, The Detour inaugurates a series of albums continued with The De2our (2020), The De3our (2021) and The De4our (2023). Meanwhile, Ekoh collaborates with Futuristic, Locksmith, Crazy Town, Lø Spirit and Attila. He also records the EP Through the Static (2019) and the album Look What You Made (2022). In 2024, the rapper released the album Pressure, featuring contributions from Nate Vickers, Tech N9ne, Senses Fail and Skydaddy. Also, the track "Good Things", with Lø Spirit, reached the bottom of the Top 40 Radio Alternative Songs chart. The same year saw the singles "Haunted" with Colorblind and "Broken Heart Collector" with Arankai.
