Russian singer born in Kaliningrad on November 29, 1995, Ekaterina Shelehova began her career in opera, before diversifying her repertoire towards the new age style and joining the group Era. She began singing traditional Russian tunes as a child, when her family emigrated to Canada in 2002, settling in Hamilton, Ontario. She studied opera at the Royal Conservatory of Toronto and won several prizes, before studying in Milan in 2014. Between Canada and Italy, the soprano performs on opera stages, notably at the Teatro Antonio Belloni in Barlassina (Lombardy), or in Alexandria (Piedmont), where she interprets the role of Gilda in Verdi's Rigoletto. In 2014, Ekaterina Shelehova recorded a debut album, Moonlight, under the name Katya, and in 2019 toured China with the iSing Opera Academy company. Noticed on Italia Got Talent in 2021, the video of her performance went around the world, and her new-age songs such as "Earth Melodies" and "Vlad the Vamp " for the film of the same name were included in playlists. In 2022, she became lead singer of the group Era, while the Favorittes on the Ukulele EP was released the same year. Among her many solo titles, "Savage Daughter", released in 2023, met with success on listening platforms.
