Biography
Egotrippi is a Finnish pop rock ensemble established in 1993. The group consists of vocalist Mikki Kauste, vocalist and guitarist Knipi, guitarist Skele, bassist Anssi Maasalo, and drummer Sampo Haapaniemi. Their recording career began with the debut eponymous studio recording Egotrippi (1995). The ensemble reached wider visibility with the song "Ãlä koskaan ikinä" (2003), which was featured in the movie Nousukausi. Their discography included the hit single "Unihiekkaa" (1997) and the song "Matkustaja" (2003), which became their most successful hit and received an Emma award. Egotrippi released the studio recording Alter Ego (1998) and the compilation recording Moulaa! (2001). The ensemble achieved their first Number 1 album with Vielä koittaa uusi aika (2006). Their discography included the compilation recording 20 Suosikkia (2004), the studio recording Maailmanloppua odotellessa (2008), and the studio recording Pilvien alla, maan päällä (2013).
