Born in Los Angeles on September 5, 1969, Dweezil Zappa neither followed in his father Frank Zappa's footsteps nor took a radically different path. A guitarist inclined towards a demonstrative rock metal style somewhere between Eddie Van Halen and Steve Vai, his albums Havin' a Bad Day (1986) and My Guitat Wants to Kill Your Mama (1998) are representative of his virtuosity. In 2010, he also paid tribute to his father in a project called Zappa Plays Zappa on the album Return of the Son of..., then continued his solo career with varying fortunes. In 2016, he released the album Via Zammata'.
