Biography
Marah, an American rock and roll band, was formed in 1993. The group initially consisted of singer/songwriter/guitarist Dave Bielanko, bassist Danny Metz, and drummer Ronnie Vance. In 1995, Dave's older brother Serge Bielanko joined as a singer/songwriter/guitarist and harmonica player. Marah released their album, Let's Cut the Crap and Hook Up Later on Tonight, in 1998 on Black Dog Records. Their album, Kids in Philly, was released in 2000 on Steve Earleâs E-Squared Records. The band gained attention for its intense live performances and eclectic roots rock sound. Notable albums include Float Away with the Friday Night Gods (2002), which featured Bruce Springsteen, and If You Didn't Laugh, You'd Cry (2005). Marah toured extensively throughout their career, performing at festivals like Bonnaroo and Austin City Limits. Their discography includes Angels of Destruction! (2008) and Mountain Minstrelsy of Pennsylvania (2014).
