Doris Machin, born February 27, 1967 in West New York, New Jersey, is a Cuban-American singer, songwriter, and pastor. She began her musical path in high-school choir before briefly studying law, ultimately joining her fatherâs family business. In 1988, she began singing and playing keyboard at a local church, later directing its worship group. Her breakthrough came in 1990 with the release of the album Entregada a Cristo, followed by Más que vencedor (1992). Over the next decades, she released albums including Tu palabra guardaré (1996), Gracia y misericordia (1997), Nueva criatura (1999), Queremos tu Gloria (2002), MÃrame (2005), A solas contigo (2006), and La Ola del espÃritu (2014). She founded the Glory Worship Institute in 1999 and became the pastor of El Tabernáculo de Adoración in Miami in 2004. Her work earned awards at the El Elyon awards and Premios Arpa, and received nominations at the Grammy Awards.
