Biography
Dolorean, an American rock band, was formed in 1999 in Oregon. The group initially consisted of Al James and Jay Clarke, who began collaborating on quiet folk recordings. In 2001, Dolorean had moved to Portland and added Ben Nugent on drums/percussion/vocals. Their debut album, Not Exotic, was released in 2003 through Yep Roc Records, featuring James Adair on bass. The band's second album, Violence in the Snowy Fields, followed in 2004 and received favorable reviews. In 2007, Dolorean released You Can't Win. After a hiatus from 2010 to 2014, they released The Unfazed, which reached number 41 on the Top Heatseekers chart in January 2011. Dolorean announced their breakup in 2014 and played their final show at Mississippi Studios in Portland, Oregon.
