Biography

Michelle Nicole Brown, born September 9 1974 in Toronto, Ontario, is a Canadian R&B and soul singer. Her breakthrough came with the 2005 single "Old Skool Love", which earned a SOCAN Number 1 Song Award. She followed with the self‑titled album Divine Brown on 22 August 2005, and the 2008 album The Love Chronicles, which won the 2009 Juno Award for Best R&B/Soul Album. Brown later issued the 2013 album Something Fresh and the 2016 single "Love Alibi" with 80 Empire. She has performed in major tours and in the 2023 Canadian premiere of Natasha, Pierre & The Great Comet of 1812.
