Die Raketen is a German electronic music group formed in 2002, comprising Mickey DueChamp, Adel (formerly Sandokan), and Janni Gagarin, whose stage names are linked to Lexy of Lexy & K-Paul, Adel Dior, and Tony Planet of Autotune. The trio first appeared on the scene with the single "Tokyo" in 2003, followed by "The Sound Für Zwischendurch" the same year, establishing their presence in the electronic pop niche. In 2004, they released the album Ahoi and the maxiâCD So Fuckin' Yeah, while "I Like Plastique" became a notable track on the "Tokyo" maxiâCD. Their 2006 single "Popsong" marked the final major release before the groupâs activities tapered. The bandâs discography was issued through Freundschaft Musik, a subsidiary of Low Spirit Recordings, and they represented the state of Saxony at the 2006 Bundesvision Song Contest, finishing 15th.
