Biography
Die Labbese is a German carnival ensemble formed in 1975 in Bergisch Gladbach. The group was established by Werner Kraus, Ferdi Schönenborn, and Michael Niesen. The band performed the song âOvends noh sibbeâ on the WDR television program Närrische Hitparade. Bernd Kierdorf joined as a drummer in 1978. In 1985, the group performed at the KAJUJA Köln event. The ensemble released the recordings Mir han e jross Hätz (2004), Wo mir Kölsche sin es vürre (2007), and Danz för mich (2018). Its discography also included the studio recordings Jlöcksjeföhl (2019) and Räch dich nit op (2020). The lineup included Kierdorf, Niesen, Sebastian Kierdorf, Detlev Scholz, Andreas Pater, and Klaus Blömeke. Former members included Günter Rodenbach and Frank Wielpütz.
