Die Haut was a German post-punk band formed in 1982 in Berlin. The original lineup consisted of Christoph Dreher on bass and guitars, Remo Park on guitar, Martin Peter on guitar, and Thomas Wydler on drums. They initially gained attention as an instrumental group, collaborating with various vocalists including Nick Cave on their debut album Burnin' the Ice (1983). Throughout the 1980s, they released several albums such as Fandango (1987), Headless Body in Topless Bar (1988), and Die Hard (1989). Their lineup evolved over time, with Park leaving in 1985 and being replaced by Rainer Lingk. They released the albums Head On (1992) and Sweat (1993). Their final studio album, Spring (1997), was followed by a remix compilation titled Springer (1998). They disbanded in 1997.
