Biography

Dutch-born playwright, author, composer and performer Dick Annegarn (b. The Hague, May 5, 1952) has been a French-speaking artist on the bangs since the early 1970s. Excessively distrustful of show business, he went from periods of great fame ("Sacré géranium", "Bruxelles") to more confidential moments. But thanks to his unique, endearing personality and a keen sense of absurd humor, he has always remained close to the hearts of audiences and his peers, who honored him in the tribute album Le Grand Dîner (2006). Back in the spotlight since Adieu Verdure (1999), Dick Annegarn has seen his audience renew with each album: Plouc (2005), Soleil du Soir (2008) and Folk Talk (2011), featuring folk-style covers of blues standards. In 2014, the Dutch singer celebrates his fortieth anniversary with the album Vélo Va. Twist followed in 2016, featuring a duet with Raphaël ("On est deux").
