Diana Gosper (born 8â¯Aprilâ¯1976 in Newcastle, Australia) is an Australian alternative rock singerâsongwriter known professionally as Diana Anaid. Growing up in a nomadic, communal lifestyle after her motherâs death, she learned guitar in her teens and performed in folkâblues venues around Lismore and Nimbin. Her breakthrough came with the single "I Go Off" (1997), which peaked at Numberâ¯35 on the ARIA Singles Chart and received high rotation on Tripleâ¯J, leading to a nomination for Best New Talent at the 1998 ARIA Music Awards. Diana Anaidâs debut album Diana ah Naid (1997) was followed by I Donât Think Iâm Pregnant (1999), Beautiful Obscene (2004), Diana Anaid (2010), and My Queen (2017).
