Biography

Debbie Rockt! was a German pop rock band formed in September 2002, initially under the name Deep Mind. The original lineup included Paulina "Paule" Kammerlocher, Rosa Stecher, and Margot "Tan" Cichy. In June 2003, Katharina "Kathi" Seitz joined, and the group was renamed Skylla. By 2006, the band underwent significant changes: Paulina "Paule" Kammerlocher left, and Sofia "Fie" Stark and Denise Emily Wilson joined. The band adopted the name Debbie Rockt! after encountering a young girl playing guitar and singing on the street. The group's first television appearance was on VIVA Live. Their debut single "Ich Rocke" was released on April 7, 2007, reaching number 53 in the German charts and number 63 in Austria. Supported by VIVA, their music video gained significant airplay. The second single "Nie mehr Schule / Popp Song" followed on June 29, 2007, along with the album Egal Was Ist... released on July 13, 2007. Notable tracks from this period include "Ich Rocke", "Popp Song", and a cover of Falco's "Nie mehr Schule".
