Dear Alice (stylized as dearALICE) are British boy band formed through the collaboration of Moon&Back Media and South Korea's SM Entertainment. The group comprises five members: James, Dexter, Olly, Reese, and Blaise. Their formation and training were documented in the six-part BBC One reality series Made in Korea: The K-Pop Experience, which aired in August 2024. The band's name, dearALICE, symbolizes a heartfelt letter to their fans, with ALICE standing for 'A Love I Can't Explain,' a concept conceived by member Dexter. This name was inspired by a visit to a restaurant called Dear Alice in Itaewon, Seoul. Under the guidance of SM Entertainment, known for producing successful K-pop acts, dearALICE underwent a rigorous 100-day training program in Seoul. This training encompassed choreography, vocal performance, and life coaching, aiming to prepare the group for the global music stage. Following the conclusion of their reality series, dearALICE returned to the UK to work on their debut single, marking a significant step in their musical journey. Their unique blend of British pop sensibilities and K-pop influences positions them as a pioneering act in the global music scene. As of November 2024, dearALICE are preparing for their official debut, with fans eagerly anticipating their entry into the music industry. The boyband's EP bitterSWEETsummer, released on June 27, 2025, appeared on the Top 100 Albums Download Official Charts of the United Kingdom at rank 79 on the week of 2025-07-04.
