CxM (short for S.Coups x Mingyu) is the fourth official unit of the 13-member boy group SEVENTEEN, formed under Pledis Entertainment and distributed by HYBE Labels and YG PLUS. The duo, consisting of rappers S.Coups (born August 8, 1995) and Mingyu (born April 6, 1997), made their debut on September 29, 2025, with their first mini album HYPE VIBES, showcasing powerful rap and performance-driven music. Unlike SEVENTEENâs previous vocal, hip-hop, and performance units, CxM is the first subunit composed of members from the same team, the Hip-Hop Team. Their chemistry had been anticipated by fans since early 2025 through concerts and social media interactions, with fans affectionately giving them nicknames such as âEskyuce,â âKkyuskkyus,â and âCherry Minggu.â The unitâs leader is Mingyu, after S.Coups humorously declined the role, saying he could not take on leadership twice within SEVENTEEN.
