Biography
The Dead Brothers, a folk band from Geneva, Switzerland, were formed in 1997. The group was known for its unique blend of country, waltz, blues, punk, rockabilly, chanson, and Balkan folk, featuring Alain Croubalian as the lead member until he died in 2021. Their distinctive sound included a tuba instead of a bass guitar and multilingual lyrics. The band's album, Dead Music for Dead People, was released in 2000, followed by Day of the Dead in 2002, which included a musical for the Swiss National Exposition Expo.02. They composed the soundtrack for the film Flammend' Herz in 2004 and contributed music to various theater productions, including Wilhelm Tell. Their subsequent albums include Wunderkammer (2006), 5th Sin-Phonie (2010), Black Moose (2014), Angst (2018), and Death is Forever (2023).
