David Munyon is an American guitarist and singer-songwriter born on August 19, 1952, in Newport, Rhode Island. Known by the nickname âJumperâ, he began making music at age 12. Munyon relocated to Europe and reached wider visibility through a series of tours and releases on the labels Glitterhouse Records and Stockfisch Records. His recording career began with the debut studio recording CodeName: Jumper (1990). He released the studio recording Slim Possibilities (1996) followed by Poet Wind (1998) and From the Shade of the Big Mamosa (2001). His discography included the studio recordings More Songs for Planet Earth (2004) and Seven Leaves in a Blue Bowl of Water (2004). Munyon recorded the studio recording Song for Danko (2006) at Abbey Road Studios. He subsequently released the studio recordings Too Cool â Hymns from Ozark via Adelaide Street (2007) and Some Songs for Mary (2008). His work included the crowdfunded studio recording Clark (2016) and the studio recording Planetary (2018). Munyon's recent releases included American Guitar (2021), Cowboy Movie (2021), and Hong Kong Bob's â Echo, Alabama (2022). He released the live album This Is My Story â The Final Peace Tour 2023 Concert (2024). Munyonâs music has been described as a mixture of Americana, roots, folk, and blues.
