Biography
David John Greenslade (18â¯Januaryâ¯1943â¯ââ¯14â¯Juneâ¯2026) was a British keyboard player and composer from Woking, Surrey, who began piano lessons in Eltham. He joined Geno Washington & the Ram Jam Band before coâfounding Colosseum in 1968, remaining with the group until its 2015 farewell and a 1994 reunion. In the early 1970s he led the band Greenslade, releasing four albums before it disbanded in 1976. His solo work includes Cactus Choir (1976), The Pentateuch of the Cosmogony (1979), and the Terry Pratchettâinspired From the Discworld (1994); later albums were Routes/Roots (2011) and G & T (2021) with Dave Thomas of Blonde on Blonde. Dave Greenslade died at 83 on 14â¯Juneâ¯2026.
