Biography

Worrawech Danuwong, also known mononymously as "Dan," is a Thai pop singer who performed with the boy bands D2B and Dan-Beam during the early 2000s before launching a solo career in 2009. He was born in Suphan Buri, Thailand, on May 16, 1984, and joined pop trio D2B in 2001. The group's self-titled debut was released that same year, followed by 2002's D2B Summer and 2003's D2B Type II. All three albums were enormously popular, making D2B one of the biggest boy bands in Thai history. When a car accident left bandmate Apichet Kittikorncharoen in a coma for four years, D2B was downsized to a duo named Dan-Beam. Another handful of releases followed, including 2005's Dan-Beam The Album and 2007's Dan-Beam The Album 3 Freedom, and the duo scored a major hit with "Wela Mai Keuy Por." Following Kittikorncharoen's death in December 2007, both members of Dan-Beam began focusing on their own projects, with Worrawech Danuwong releasing his first solo album, Blue, in 2009. Blue was credited to his new stage name, "Dan WD," and was followed by an EP, Solo Motion, in 2011. While continuing to focus on his parallel career as a film star, TV actor, and game show host during the 2010s, he also released a series of singles. His career continued in the 2020s, with Dan WD earning a Top 40 hit in Thailand with the song "Noi Tae Mak (Daybed)," which reached Number 38 on the Top Thaïlande chart.
