Biography

Damon Fowler, born March 16, 1979 in Brandon, Florida, is an American blues singer, guitarist, and songwriter. He began playing guitar at age twelve and performing in small clubs in the Tampa Bay Area during his teenage years. His debut album Riverview Drive was self-released in 1999, produced by Rick Derringer. Fowler signed with Blind Pig Records in March 2007, releasing albums such as Sugar Shack (2009) and Devil Got His Way (2011). He formed Southern Hospitality in 2011, which released the album Easy Livin' in 2013. Fowler's work with Blind Pig Records ended when the label closed, leading him to self-release Damon Fowler Live in 2015. His album Alafia Moon (2021) with Landslide Records debuted at Number 1 on the Billboard Blues Chart and was nominated for a Blues Music Award. Fowler's Barnyard Smile album followed in 2024.
