Biography
Curt Close, born on October 23, 1975, in Waremme, Belgium, is a singer known for his contributions to pop rock and rock music. At nineteen, Close met Pierre Rapsat, an influential Belgian author-composer-interpreter, who became his mentor and collaborator. This early association marked the beginning of Close's musical journey. In 2001, he signed with East West (Warner Music France) after meeting Nicolas Varak, a producer in Paris. His debut album, Le Vent Se Lève, was released on March 2002 featuring notable tracks such as "Le Vent se lève" and "Ton Image". The album was recorded in Paris and Los Angeles with prominent musicians including Abraham Laboriel Senior and Junior, Brad Cole, and Emmanuel Vergeade. In 2004, Catherine Lara cast Close to play Merlin in her musical Graal, which premiered in January 2005. Close later formed the group Enfantsonic with London-based musicians Archie and Jonny Dyke in 2009. The group collaborated with Jean-Jacques Thibaud on lyrics. In addition to his music career, Close directed the documentary The Greenhouse of the Future, released in America in 2015, focusing on food autonomy.
