Biography
Cor Bakker, born on August 19, 1961, in Landsmeer, Netherlands, is a Dutch pianist working with pop and jazz genres and s also a radio and television presenter. He began playing piano at age 11, inspired by Louis van Dijk, and studied at the Sweelinck Conservatorium in Amsterdam from 1984. Bakker's career gained momentum when he joined the Metropole Orkest as a pianist from 1989 to 2000, accompanying notable singers such as Karin Bloemen and Shirley Bassey. He also appeared on Paul de Leeuwâs television show De Schreeuw van de Leeuw from 1990 to 2013. His debut album, Declared, was released in 1993 as a tribute to Clare Fischer. Other notable albums include A Time For Love (1999), Elettra (2008), and Windmills of your mind (2002).
