Biography

Concepción "Conchita" Supervía Pascual was born on December 8, 1895 in Barcelona, Spain. She began her musical training at the Conservatorio Superior de Música del Liceo and made her debut as a singer at age fifteen in Bianca de Beulieu at the Teatro Colón in Buenos Aires. Supervía's career took off with roles such as Octavian in Der Rosenkavalier at the Teatro Costanzi in Rome and Carmen at the Liceo in Barcelona. She performed extensively across Europe and the Americas, including notable appearances at La Scala in Milan and Covent Garden in London. Her repertoire included works by Rossini, Bizet, and Manuel de Falla. She passed away on March 30, 1936.
