Jahmier Velazquez, known professionally as Comethazine, was born on July 6, 1998, in the United States. He began his music career by posting tracks on SoundCloud and YouTube during his teenage years, which led him to quit his job as a mechanic to focus on music full-time. His breakthrough came with the release of "Bands" in 2018, which gained traction after an unauthorized remix replaced YBN Nahmir's "Bounce out with That" on SoundCloud. This led to its inclusion on his debut mixtape Bawskee (2018). Comethazine followed up with several successful projects, including Bawskee 2 (2019) and Bawskee 3 (2019). His first studio album, Pandemic, was released in March 2020. Notable singles include "Walk," which reached number 20 on the Billboard Bubbling Under Hot 100 chart.
