Biography
Colonia, a Croatian dance music duo from Vinkovci, was formed in 1996 by Boris ÄurÄeviÄ and Tomislav JeliÄ. They hired Indira "Ira" VladiÄ as their vocalist. Their first commercial release, "Nek' vatre gore sve", was sent to radio stations across Croatia in 1996. In 1997, they released their debut album Vatra i led, which sold over 40,000 copies. The following year, Colonia entered the HRT Dora national final for the Eurovision Song Contest with "U ritmu ljubavi". They won a prize at Melodije hrvatskog Jadrana in 1998 and released their second album Ritam ljubavi in 1999. In 2004, an English version of "Za tvoje snene oÄi" titled "A Little Bit of Uh La La" reached Number One on the Canadian Dance Chart.
