Biography
Climie Fisher is a British pop duo formed in London in 1987. It consists of Simon Climie (* April 7, 1960, Fulham, London) and Rob Fisher (* November 5, 1956, Cheltenham, England; â August 25, 1999, during an operation due to bowel cancer). Climie Fisher plays melodic pop with influences from blue-eyed soul and light funk. The two meet as session musicians at the legendary Abbey Road Studios and decide to work together. The debut album Everything was released in February 1988, followed by Coming In for the Kill in October 1989. They first became internationally known with the single "Love Changes (Everything)", which achieved great success in 1987/88. This was followed by the single "Rise to the Occasion", which was also well received, and the song "Love Like a River", their last major chart success. The duo disbanded in 1990. Rob Fisher died in 1999 and Climie Fisher received the Ivor Novello Award for Best Contemporary Song for "Love Changes (Everything)" in 1989.
