Christian Dietrich Meier Zender, born 23â¯Juneâ¯1970 in Lima, Peru, began performing at age twelve and entered the professional scene in 1993 with the rockâska band Arena Hash. After the group dissolved, he launched his solo career with the selfâwritten and produced album No Me Acuerdo Quien Fui in 1996, which sold over twenty thousand copies and featured the hit single "Carreteras Mojadas". In 1999 he released Primero en Mojarme, achieving more than sixty thousand sales. A decade later, Once Noches (2009) added international collaborations, notably with Mikel Erentxun on "Novia de Nadie". In 2016 he issued Nada Ha Cambiado, produced with Gianmarco Zignago, and the single "La Pena". Throughout his career, Meier has toured extensively across Peru, Spain, Portugal, and Latin America, signing with local labels that supported his releases. His work has earned multiple awards, including the 2010 Zafiro Musical for "Novia de Nadie" and the 2015 Luces award for Best Supporting Actor in Asu Mareâ¯2. Meierâs contributions to Latin pop and pop music remain documented in chart listings and media recognition, reflecting a sustained presence in the regional music industry.
