Biography
Chris Schlarb is an American composer, producer, and guitarist born in the United States in 1977. Christopher Robin Schlarb co-founded the ensemble Create (!) in 1998 and established the record label Sounds Are Active in 1999. Their debut solo album, Twilight and Ghost Stories (2007), was followed by the recording NightSky (2011), which received a nomination for the Independent Games Festival's Seumas McNally Grand Prize. In 2010, they founded the group Psychic Temple, which has released albums including Psychic Temple (2010), Psychic Temple IV (2017), and Doggie Paddlin' Thru the Cosmic Consciousness (2024). Schlarb collaborated with artists including Mike Watt, Sufjan Stevens, and Nels Cline. In 2016, they opened BIG EGO Studios in Long Beach, California.
