Biography

Chang Chen-yue, born Ayal Komod on May 2, 1974, in Taiwan, was a Taiwanese aboriginal rock and hip-hop musician, songwriter, singer, and guitarist. He began his musical journey as a child in the church choir, later learning to play the guitar during his middle school years. Chang released his debut album I Just Like You with labels Pony Canyon and Magic Stone in 1993. His breakthrough came with the hit song "Love Me, Don't Go" from the 1998 album Secret Base, which topped charts in Mainland China and Taiwan. In December 2000, Chang released the album Trouble, awarded number 10 Albums by Chinese Music Media Awards. He founded his own record label True Color in 2004 and released several EPs, including Drunk (2005) and Goodbye (2005). In July 2013, his album I am Ayal Komod was awarded the Best Mandarin Album during the 25th Golden Melody Awards. Chang joined the hip-hop band 兄弟本色G.U.T.S in 2015 and appeared as a judge on the rap competition show The Rap of China from 2017 to 2019. In 2025, he released his eleventh album Go With The Flow.
