Chaar Diwaari is the musical alias of Garv Taneja, a New Delhiâbased producer, singer-songwriter, and visual artist who builds experimental Hindi tracks with a deliberately raw, low-budget aesthetic and a streak of internet-era humor in both lyrics and videos. He has described the name âChaar Diwaariâ as a nod to making music within the four walls of his room, while also playing on the idea of a âfourth wallâ opening up when he creates. Rejecting the idea that music has to be polished or âconsumer-friendly,â he has framed his approach around staying the same person on and off stage and treating everyday life and close circles as direct creative fuel. On December 16, 2022, he released his debut EP, Teri Maiyat Ke Gaane, entirely self-produced and featuring MC Kode, Arpit Bala, and Yashraj, leaning into locally rooted textures and punchy, high-impact arrangements. Alongside the music, he conceptualizes and edits his own videos without formal filmmaking training, often imagining visuals early in the writing process and using them to extend each songâs mood and attitude. He later pivoted with the single âBaroodâ (2023), presented as a left turn intended to push past any expectations of sameness. Subsequent releases include singles like "Thehra" (2024) and "Banda Kaam Ka" (2025).
