Biography

Cauldron is a Canadian heavy metal ensemble formed in 2006 in Toronto following the dissolution of the band Goat Horn. The original lineup consisted of Jason Decay, Ian Chains, and Al Artillery. The group released its debut EP, Into the Cauldron, in 2007, which led to a tour across Canada. After signing with Earache Records in 2008, the band released the studio album Chained to the Nite in April 2009. The recording featured the song “Restless”, which appeared in a DC Shoes promotional video. Myles Deck joined the ensemble as the drummer in 2012. The band’s discography included the studio albums Burning Fortune (2011), Tomorrow's Lost (2012), In Ruin (2016), and New Gods (2018). In Ruin was selected as the release of the month by Loudwire.com readers. The ensemble performed at the Hell's Heroes festival in March 2024.
