Cassie Steele is a Canadian actress and singer born Cassandra Rae Steele on 2 December 1989 in Toronto. She began writing songs in the first grade and performed in a commercial in 2001. Steele appeared as a regular cast member in the series Degrassi: The Next Generation as the character Manny Santos between 2001 and 2010. She released her debut studio recording, How Much for Happy, in 2005, which featured the single âBluebirdâ. Her discography included the album Destructo Doll (2009), featuring the track âMr. Colsonâ, and the EPs Shifty (2012) and Patterns (2014). Steele performed the lead role of Abby Vargas in the series The L.A. Complex (2012) and provided voices for the animated program Rick and Morty. In 2019, she established the band Psychocandy.
