The Cash Box Kings, an American blues band from Chicago, Illinois, were formed by Joe Nosek and Oscar Wilson. The group specializes in Chicago-style blues from the 1940s and 1950s, as well as Delta blues from the 1920s and 1930s. Their debut album Live! at the King Club was released in 2003. In 2011, their album Holler & Stomp received nominations for "Band of the Year," "Song of the Year," and "Best Traditional Blues" CD at the Blues Blast Music Awards. The Cash Box Kings released Black Toppin' in 2013, which won the Blues Blast Music Award for Traditional Blues Album of the Year. Their subsequent album, Holding Court (2015), featured contemporary themes like digital music piracy and urban gentrification.
