Biography
Reverend Carey Landry, born 1944, is an American composer of Catholic liturgical music. He completed a masterâs in theology at the Catholic University of America. In 1970, he released the album Yes Lord, followed with I Will Not Forget You (1974) and Great Things Happen (1974). Subsequent releases Abba, Father (1977) and Bloom Where You're Planted (1979) expanded his catalogue. Landryâs compositions, including "Abba, Father" and "Hail Mary, Gentle Woman", were widely distributed through Oregon Catholic Press. He was reportedly released from priestly ministry in 1985.
