Froncysyllte Male Voice Choir, also known as the Fron Choir, is an amateur Welsh ensemble founded in 1946 for the 1947 Llangollen International Musical Eisteddfod. Under the direction of Lloyd Edwards until 1970, the choir won various choral competitions. In 1955, the group hosted the Modena choir, which included Luciano Pavarotti. John Daniel led the ensemble from 1970 to 1991, followed by Val Jones. During the tenure of Ann Atkinson between 2002 and 2009, the group signed with Universal Music Group. Its debut commercial album, Voices of the Valley, appeared in November 2006 and reached number 9 on the UK chart. It became the fastest-selling classical recording, achieving gold status in three days. Subsequent releases included Voices of the Valley - Encore (2007), Voices of the Valley: Home (2008), and Voices of the Valley - Echoes (2021). Leigh Mason became the conductor in 2009.
