Biography
Canção & Louvor, a Brazilian contemporary Christian music duo, was formed in Vitória de Santo Antão, Pernambuco by siblings Claudio Louvor and Claudia Canção in 1994. Born on August 11, 1990, and January 18, 1989 respectively, the duo began their musical journey at around five and six years old, performing in local churches with songs from other artists. Their unique harmonies and interpretations quickly gained attention, leading to performances across Pernambuco. In 1999, Claudio Louvor and Claudia Canção released their debut album Vivendo pela Fé. Two years later, they followed up with Mão de Poder, both recorded in the Brazilian sertão. Despite vocal challenges during Claudio's teenage years, the duo continued to grow, learning instruments such as the guitar and viola. In 2014, Canção & Louvor gained national recognition with their album Sete Mergulhos which featured the hit song "Ei, Naamã." The following year, they released Profetizando Vida, produced by maestro Ronny Barboza. Their first EP, Eu Cuido de Ti, was launched in 2016 and included the viral single of the same name. In April 2019, Canção & Louvor released their seventh studio album, Maravilhoso, followed by the holiday album Especial de Natal in 2023.
