Biography

Camilla Tilling, born May 18, 1971, in Linköping, Sweden, is a Swedish soprano known for her operatic and concert performances. She began singing gospel and jazz music in church choirs and school ensembles before studying at the Academy of Music and Drama in Gothenburg and the Royal College of Music in London, graduating in 1998. Tilling made her operatic debut in 1997 as Olympia in Jacques Offenbach's Tales of Hoffman in Gothenburg. Her international career took off with roles such as Corinna in Il viaggio a Reims at the New York City Opera and Sophie in Der Rosenkavalier at the Royal Opera House, London. Tilling has also performed with leading orchestras and conductors worldwide. She released several albums, including Rote Rosen in 2009 and Myrthen in 2019.
