Caitlyn May Shadbolt, born on October 4, 1995, in Australia, is a singer known for her contributions to Australian country music. She began playing in a band at age 12 and gained initial recognition after auditioning for the sixth season of The X Factor Australia in 2014, where she sang "Life Is a Highway" by Tom Cochrane. Shadbolt released her debut single "Maps Out the Window" in January 2015, which topped the iTunes Country Singles Chart and reached top 5 on the Australian Country Airplay Chart. Her self-titled debut EP followed in August 2015. Shadbolt's first studio album, Songs on My Sleeve, was released in May 2017, preceded by the lead single "My Break Up Anthem." In November 2020 she released her second studio album, Stages.
